Booking & Payment FAQs

 

I/We definitely want to book you! What’s the next step?
Fantastic! I'm honored that you chose me! To officially book CSP, you’ll have to fill out a form, sign a contract (typically a digital contract, but for special situations I have paper kicking around) and pay a non-refundable booking fee ($50 for portraits, 25% for weddings).  As soon as those few things are in, we're totally working together!

 

It might take us a couple of months to get the booking fee saved up. Can you pencil us in?
Unfortunately, no. The only way to reserve your date with CSP is to sign a contract and pay the booking fee. Because I often have multiple inquiries for open dates, my policy is to book the first client who sends a deposit.  I feel this is the best way to keep it fair for everyone.

 

Can we make payments leading up to the portrait session or wedding day?
Definitely! Let me know when you book that you’d like to set up a weekly or monthly payment plan and I'll hook you up!  I would hate that the only reason you didn't choose me is because of your immediate finances.

 

When is our remaining balance due?
Your remaining balance is due 7 days before your wedding date.  Portrait session balances are due by the day of the session.   I will send out reminders at different intervals to help keep us both on track and that way we don't have to deal with late payments.  *Photos will not be edited until the final payment is made.*

 

Can we pay our final payment after the wedding or portrait Session?
The only payments that can be made after the wedding are product payments. The rest of your collection must be paid no later than 7 days before your wedding or the day of the portrait session.  *Just as above, if for some reason you do need to make late payments, photographs will not be edited until the final payment is sent.*

 

Why do you require that we pay in full 7 days before our wedding?
Your wedding is going to be beautiful and fun, but also require your full attention.  While you're going to want to fully embrace the moment I would hate to distract the two of you with thoughts of paying for your photography.  Besides isn't it easier to breath knowing that you have one less thing to deal with when you already have so much going on leading up to the wedding day?


What if we've paid you for our portrait session or wedding, but then decide we don't want to book with you?
This would be unfortunate and I hope that doesn't have to happen, but in the event that it does I will return all of your money except for the retainer/booking fee ($50 for portrait sessions and 25% for weddings).

 

But what if we DO want to work with you, but we get sick or are low on funds?
If you find yourself unable to work with me on the day scheduled, but you still want to work with me I am more than happy to reschedule, or set up a payment plan.  You will have one year to reschedule, otherwise I will return any money other than the retainer/booking fee and any booking after that will basically need to result in starting over again with the process.

 

Can I pay with a credit card? 
Sure! I invoice clients using PayPal or I can swipe your card with my PayPal reader!  I also accept Checks and Cash.
